Thanx now integrates directly with Genius for Enterprise (Xenial) POS

Thanx now offers a direct loyalty integration with Genius for Enterprise (formerly Xenial POS). Staff can look up loyalty members, view their points balance and available rewards, and apply a reward to an open check all from the POS screen. New guests can also enroll in your loyalty program right at POS.

What is it?

Your Genius for Enterprise (Xenial) POS can now connect directly to Thanx loyalty.

Why it matters

  • Seamless reward redemption at POS. Rewards can be redeemed directly at the POS by scanning a QR code in the app or by looking up the guest’s phone number or email.

  • Your staff can identify and reward customers in seconds. Guests are looked up by phone number, email, or QR code scan, allowing for a faster checkout experience.

  • Rewards are confirmed before the check closes. Validation happens at tender, so staff know immediately whether a reward applied successfully.

  • New members can join on the spot. Staff can create a loyalty account for a guest directly from the POS, no separate device or link needed.

  • Data Capture. Item-level SKU data (check in only) is captured for in store transactions.

How it works

Looking up a customer

  1. Tap the person icon at the top of the POS screen to open the Identify Customer screen.

  2. Enter or scan the customer's phone number, email, or QR code scan

  3. The customer's points balance and available rewards appear on screen.

  4. For check-in loyalty model only, select the customer and add them to the check. This is what triggers points accrual when the order is placed.

Applying a reward

  1. After adding the customer to the check, their eligible rewards are displayed.

  2. Select a reward and tap Apply.

  3. Tap the green Total button to validate the reward and convert it to a discount.

  4. Complete payment as usual. The reward is confirmed when the check closes.

Note: Only one reward can be applied per order.

Enrolling a new member at the POS (configure your In-store enrollment setting in your Thanx dashboard first)

  1. From the Identify Customer screen, enter the customer's phone number.

  2. Tap Create Loyalty Account.

  3. Complete the sign-up fields and tap Sign Up.

A few things to know

  • Rewards shown may not all apply. On initial lookup, Thanx displays all rewards the customer is eligible for by points before order items are factored in. Conditional rewards may appear even if the qualifying item isn't in the cart. The POS validates eligibility at tender and will surface an error if a reward doesn't apply.

  • One reward per order. Only one reward can be applied to a check. Attempting a second will fail at validation.

FAQs

Is there an additional cost for this integration?

No. The Genius for Enterprise integration is included with your Thanx plan at no extra charge.

How do we get set up?

Reach out to your Thanx CSM to get set up. Thanx is required to share data with Genius for Enterprise to power the integration, so you'll need to sign a data waiver before setup is complete. Your Thanx team will send this to you.

Does this integration support SKU-level data or the capture rate report?

Not yet. SKU data for card linked models and the capture rate report are not supported in this release.
