Thanx now integrates with Sunday: guests earn and redeem rewards at the table
Brands using Sunday can now connect their loyalty program to Sunday's pay-at-table checkout, so guests earn and redeem rewards at the moment of payment, with no separate app and no added friction.
What is it?
Sunday is a pay-at-table solution used by 3,500+ restaurant brands. With this integration, existing loyalty members who pay through Sunday's digital bill experience can log in to their Thanx account, see their points balance, apply a reward at checkout, and earn points on the transaction, all within Sunday's existing flow. Any new guests also have the opportunity to sign up for loyalty all within the same checkout flow.
Why it matters
For sit-down and casual dining brands, loyalty traditionally breaks down at the table. Guests pay and leave before ever engaging with the program. This integration closes that gap:
Earn and redeem at the table: loyalty lives inside the payment moment, where guests are most engaged
No app required: the loyalty touchpoint is built into Sunday's checkout experience guests are already using
Capture guest data at a high-intent moment: every table side payment becomes an enrollment and re-engagement opportunity
Drive repeat visits from full-service locations: for brands where the sit-down experience is the product, this puts loyalty where it belongs
How it works
From the guest's perspective:
Guest scans QR code at their table and lands in Sunday's checkout experience
Guest enters their phone number and receives an SMS code to authenticate
Guest enters their email, which creates or links their Thanx account
Guest sees their check, current points balance, and any available reward
Guest applies a reward if eligible, then pays
Points are automatically recorded in Thanx
Note:
Only "get $ off entire purchase" rewards will surface in Sunday's checkout
Existing Thanx members must use the same email on Sunday as their Thanx account; otherwise a new account is created and loyalty history won't be linked
Guests who skip account creation can still pay through Sunday; they just won't earn points
The Sunday + Thanx integration is available for those brands using Toast, NCR or Micros/Oracle POS. On Toast POS, guests can earn points, redeem $ off entire purchase rewards. Guests can also enroll into loyalty. On NCR & Micros/Oracle POS, guests can only enroll into loyalty.

This integration is configured by your Thanx team; no dashboard setup required on your end. To get started, contact your Customer Success Manager.

FAQs
Q: Which reward types work with Sunday?
A: Currently only "get $ off entire purchase" rewards will display at checkout. Other reward types won't surface in Sunday's flow, even if configured in your Thanx dashboard.
Q: What happens if a guest splits the bill?
A: Guests can split by items or split in half. When splitting in half, basket item data isn't sent to Thanx; only the transaction total is recorded.
Q: Which Points of Sale will work with the Sunday + Thanx integration?
A: For the pay at table solution, the Sunday + Thanx integration is available for those brands using Toast, NCR or Micros/Oracle POS.
Note: On Toast POS, guests can earn points, redeem $ off entire purchase rewards. Guests can also enroll into loyalty. On NCR & Micros/Oracle POS, guests can only enroll into loyalty.
Q: Can guests pay without a Thanx account?
A: Yes. Account creation is optional. Guests who skip it can still pay through Sunday; they just won't earn or redeem rewards.
Keep in Mind
Existing loyalty members must log in on Sunday using the same email they registered with Thanx. A different email will create a separate, unlinked account.
Refunds cannot be processed through Thanx's API via Sunday at this time. Refunds need to be handled outside this flow, at POS.
