Need a segment live today? You can now skip Thanx review and activate AI-generated segments instantly—so time-sensitive campaigns can be published right away.

What is it?

SegmentAI has always required a Thanx team review before a segment could go live. That step protected accuracy — but it also meant waiting, sometimes when timing was critical. Now you can opt out of that review and activate your AI-generated segments the moment they're ready. Segment review remains the default option; opting out is your choice.

Why it matters

  • Launch time-sensitive campaigns without delay — no waiting on Thanx staff when you need a segment live today

  • Set it once, skip it forever — a "Don't ask me again" setting auto-approves all future SegmentAI segments without a prompt when seleected. This is per user based.

  • Flexibility — if you’ve elected to auto approve all future segments and you want Thanx SegmentAI review back, you can turn it on again in the segment creation flow

  • More control over your own program — you decide whether you want Thanx review or immediate activation, campaign by campaign or across the board

How it works

When creating and accepting a new segment using SegmentAI, you'll see a prompt with two options:

  1. Keep Thanx review — select Continue to send the segment into the standard review queue (no change from before) (~24 hour review timeline)

  2. Activate immediately — select Opt out of Thanx review to make the segment available for campaigns right away

To skip this prompt permanently:

  • Check Don't ask me again before opting out — all future SegmentAI segments will auto-activate with no review step

To return to Thanx SegmentAI review at any time, opt in again when shown the prompt in the segment creation flow.

Keep in mind

When you opt out of review, you're accepting responsibility for segment accuracy — Thanx staff won't catch errors before the segment goes live. The default review process is still available and still the default for any merchant user who hasn't opted out.

FAQs

Does this change affect segments I've already submitted for review?

No — segments already in the review queue will continue through the standard process. The opt-out only applies to new segments you create going forward.

Can I change my mind after approving the segment?

Not at this time. You will need to create the segment again to change any attributes or submit for review.

What if I check "Don't ask me again" but change my mind later?

You can reverse it by changing the setting in the segment creation flow.

Is SegmentAI less accurate when I skip review?

The AI doesn't change — the review step is a quality check, not part of how the AI builds segments. About 90–95% of reviewed segments pass without any modifications, which is why we made the opt-out available. That said, opting out means you're the final check on accuracy before a segment goes live in a campaign.

Can I opt out for one segment but not others?

Yes. Each time you accept a new segment, you can choose on the spot — unless you've enabled "Don't ask me again," in which case all new segments auto-approve. You can always turn the persistent setting off.

What if I use a segment I approved and it turns out to be wrong?

Contact your Thanx Customer Success Manager. When you opt out of review, you're accepting responsibility for segment accuracy, however our team is always available to help you investigate and correct any issues.
